Our Studio & Location
Our business is located in the "Rhino" district of Denver, in between downtown Denver & the "Santa Fe" district- basically smack dab in the middle of the largests areas of working artists in Denver.  Our studio is shared, it is an old auto body shop, that has been transformed into a working studio. Our location is almost 4,000 square feet and it is a shared space between myself and two other artists.  As artists, and thats what I believe we all are, we find uses for just about everything- check out the bike- not sure what I'll do with that yet- but I think its cool! It's not a pretty space, but is a WORKING studio, and I find inspiration everyday from being in this space!

Everything is Fair Game
In a working studio, everything is fair game, shall we say. It's no secret to anyone - the "starving artist" theory.  We utilize every single inch of our space, and have found a way to be green by repurposing everything into a way to store our works in progress. Our paper storage is completely repurposed from old priority mail boxes, our storage shelves are baking racks, we use easels to hang things, our desks were made from reclaimed wood, theres even a refrigerator filled with supplies ( somebody threw it out- cause it didnt work?).- and yes we use the ceiling too as space- pretty much everything but the kitchen sink has found its way into this studio.and we have given it new life.
Speaking of Kitchen Sinks....
Well perhaps not a kitchen sink, but this is a commercial kitchen sink- I call it my tub! This is the home to what I call "Creative Packaging 101".  I have everyone around me asking me if I want something before they throw it out- and this is where it lands.  Our packaging for our products is completely upcycled, it's never the same, but always unique. We use everything from candy box inserts, to plastic candy wrappers, to boxes, to bottles , to cups, basically if its a shape- we will transform it into something cool! It never leaves our studio unfinished, and I guarantee you would never guess what it was before it landed on your doorstep!
Our Packaging.......
We keep it simple here. Remember the old saying "brown paper packages tied up with string" - well these are a few of my favortite things. So yes, we wrap most of our packages in newspapers, craft paper, magazine inserts, maps, whatever paper we have available we use! Our cardstock is packaged in recyclable PET clear packaging. Everything else we carry, we sell loosely and try to eliminate any need for waste. Our ribbon is packaged on fancily cut recycled cardboard from whatever we got- so the next time you buy some paper ribbon and it shows up on a "Wheeties" card, you'll know why.  We do our best to make each package you receive from us as unique as the product itself.
So I am definately guilty of this.....
Well perhaps not  with the high heels- but I have been known to "accidentally" fall into a dumpster.  I call it gallery diving! Our gallery flowers are a perfect example of how we greenified somebody's trash into treasure. Our gallery flowers are created from what artists use as gallery invitations. So maybe we dont dive for these, but what we do do is travel to all the galleries in Denver and collect all the expired gallery opening cards and promotional posters. We use the beautiful graphics from these cards, posters, brochures, books, etc.. to create our gallery flowers.  A portion of the proceeds ( 40%)  from these flowers are donated to select charities which encompass what we believe in: education, children, art, and the environment.
We believe in change.......
In case we ever forget to say this, we believe in change. We are proud to be an American company, locally and woman owned. Our products are produced in the USA.  We have pride in our company and our products.  The products we carry in our store have been carefully researched. We do not carry everything that is out there, but what we do carry has been carefully researched to ensure that we bring you quality. We believe in fair trade practices and support organic companies.  We support local artists.  We believe in our designers, we believe that inspiration leads to change. We hope to inspire you and we thank you for giving us the chance to change....one day at a time, one product at a time.
